These are the 5 basic styles I start from before I go nuts adding silk ribbon embroidered flowers, pearls, glass beads, or what else might crawl by! All wings are real feathers (hypo-allergetic). We will soon have these antique beauties on our website, but not a huge selection, as they must be perfect, and the antique parts, especially the scraps, we must be careful with them while being constructed. I might get Glenn to let me have some "SOME"? of theirs!! I will start with, whatever he has left! Sure! He gives his ornaments away every day! Please, that was a joke. So as not to ruin his yard. I will have stationary items with the scraps and other vintage decor in decoupaged boxes, porfolios, and other lovely containers.
They take a while, as every part is hand crafted, and I am the only elf this year, (well, as of June).
Because the cost of a feather tree is a little steep, I have the feathers, the berries, the wire, and I found the directions on making them, I am going to attempt to make one for the special ornaments, yes, I am crazy, aren't you? Then I will teach you how to make them! You have until about the middle of October to get your feathers (color doesn't matter), red or gold tiny berries, 18 & 24 ga. wire, florist wire (green or brown), strong glue, glue gun's will not work! A center dowel about 1"-2" in diameter and a decorative wooden item to put your tree in. Make it any height you wish, or I will be selling them in the shoppe on-line and off. Sorry, but I won't be able to get any made to sell before Christmas. I just love what I do, but I haven't learned to clone myself yet, RATS! Dear God, just joking, and I LOVE YOU!
Will finish up with the "how to's" in another couple of weeks. Most make a 3 ft. tree. I have a friend that has two 7 footers! Lots of work, hint: Start twisting the little parts of the branches, 1 feather at a time, start at the TOP end, not the quill. More later.

I meticulously picked, and picked more, and while being very picky, this collection of collectible village buildings, coming from different companies, look as though they were all meant for each other! The companies are: Currier & Ives, Santa's Workbench, Victorian Village, and Classic Interior View. All of these have recently been retired which should increase their value for those of you who collect them. It seems now, I must find more of them quickly, for my patrons, before the prices go nuts, or should I say the eBay people with them go nuts! I still have my list of the folks who have been asking me to hunt for particular lovely little buildings. I love the thrill of the hunt, just wish I could see the smiles when I am successful for you guys! God Bless all!

The antique scraps will be posted here AND on the Victorian Scraps Link as well. These are not "give away" prices like the others, they are all at least 50 years old, and have been well preserved, remaining in mint condition. Sorry they aren't .49/each, but they are still great prices, and YOU will have a rare antique scrap that is gorgeous, still remains bright with color. They are also embossed.
Hopefully we can cram them in with the rest of our scrap collection. (Some have that 'old' patena on the backs so other collectors will only believe you have been really graced out!
